I have always written lyrics, even before I learnt to play a guitar. I used to write regularly between the ages of 12 and my early thirties but other pressures led to a long lay-off as life got in the way of things. Now retired, I have returned to writing but now I write poetry.

Despite the title, this is the second volume of poetry to be published. It is actually a volume of song lyrics which have been edited and formated to stand on their own as poetry. Based on edited song lyrics from the sixties and early seventies.

ABSTRACT ANTICS

This is a card game which I have developed to help those artists in my group who would like to paint abstracts (for various reasons) but who find they cannot manage to create paintings which do not represent anything. It seems to become a block to them.

The game offers suggestions to the artists to help them overcome the artists' block. It is not the answer to painting a masterpiece but is aimed at helping the artist become familiar with non-representational painting.

Currently in draft. Trials continuing to assess its capabilities.

A NOVEL APPEARS

I am very excited by this, I have written many articles on line and many technical articles during my career as a scientist / engineer, however I am now writing my first novel. This is going to be a long terrm project as it is on top of many other things I am engaged with in an already busy life.

It is a fantasy novel and its plot is based on a magical accident; the appearance of an "evil twin" of a well-loved king who is leaving his kingdom to fight a war.
